How to update Pulse

Hello Sorry for being an ignorant, but I do not seem to find the way to update an existing pulse on my server. How is that done?
Also where do you see the version of the existing pulse on the server?

Hello

I have manually updated Pulse according to the way the manual describes. But it cumbersome, although not that much. It seems to work also and nothing bad happened. But it would be nice if I can see the version somewhere.
