Manual upgrade pulse 5 to pulse 6

Hi, is there a way for me to manually upgrade from pulse 5.2.2 to pulse 6

My hosting has been upgraded to PHP 8 so I can no longer get into the admin of pulse 5 to use the update tool, what files can I upload without overwriting the website?

The easy way is to ask your host to set your PHP temporarily to PHP 7.
That worked for me.

Ok yep I'll have to copy it over to a previous one. But when updating do you just upload the whole zip file using the update option in 'extend' of the admin?

I can't see any documentation on this,
