Pulse form & backup email not working. HELP

Hi,

So i don't receive the backup zip email after the client logged in (but a backup gets created on the server) & Email has been set in the cms and i receive a succes message on the page after submitting the form but no email gets send out from the form. (I have checked spam and tried multiple email accounts.)

So just the sending of a message isn't working for this project.

Can i find some documentation or can somebody help me with this?
Not sure what i'm missing here as this is the first time this happens.
Are specific server settings needed?

I removed the form for this project but stil not sure why it didn't work on the clients server.
